ACTING

I moved to London when I was 18 to do a One-Year Diploma course at the Royal Central School of Speech & Drama. I also auditioned for and consequently trained with the National Youth Theatre of Great Britain and the National Youth Film Academy. I received my BA (Hons) Accelerated Acting degree on a full scholarship with the pioneering and innovative Fourth Monkey Actor Training Company, where I performed classical lead roles such as Zenocrate in Marlowe’s Tamburlaine the Great, as well as devised and acted in many original 4-star review theatre productions in both London and at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. As part of Fourth Monkey Actor Training Company’s rich, broad and innovative actor training methodology, I studied Commedia Dell’Arte with the master Antonio Fava at his ArscomicA school in Reggio Emilia, Italy. During my 4+ years in London, I also co-produced, co-wrote and performed in multiple original short films.

I moved to New York City after graduation, when I was 22, where I studied Meisner at The Acting Studio and Scene Study with the renowned and late acting teacher Alice Spivak. I acted professionally in NYC, doubly represented by an agent and manager, and founded my own nonprofit theatre company, the Conscious Performers Collective. I am currently represented by Radical Artists Agency. At my core, I am an actor-creator, who doesn’t “just act”, but also creates and produces their own original material.

My first love has always been acting – where I am the canvas, the instrument, the channel, to communicate the existential heartache and the phenomenal beauty of the human experience. I spent most of my childhood training and performing with the National Youth Theatre of Amsterdam. My time there culminated at age 17 when I won the National Youth Theatre Contest’s First Prize for a deeply philosophical piece I had written, directed and performed. That year also catapulted me into top-level conservatory training when I did an intensive summer course at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London. This is when I truly fell deeply and madly in love with the craft.
